Living in Seattle you learn to appreciate dreary days and find ways to keep yourself occupied. I've actually come to enjoy the grey skies... surprisingly. It helps me to slow down and do the things I really enjoy. Although, grey skies are completely different than rain. I have not found a place in my heart for the rain!
Today I awoke to a dreary day so I pulled out my crafting supplies and went to work. I used fabric, buttons and an old necklace to create this fun vintage-esque everyday accessory. I love reusing items and creating something completely different.
Search through your closest for something to revamp!
Back to what I was talking about before.... "-)
Two funny thing about Seattelites....
1.
We do everything in the rain and rarely do you see people carry umbrellas. We of course wear our REI rain jackets, but as for the wet droplets they just come with the territory.
2.
When the sun is out the city becomes alive. People everywhere will stop what they're doing to bask in the suns rays. On those days you can truly see how beautiful Seattle is. The grass is glowing it's so green, the sun reflects off the water, boats are out, and the city beams with joy...

I don't know about you, but I grew up with a tree house. It was my childhood fort where I could make believe. Mmmm...I absolutely love tree houses. Do you remember the Robinson family from the Swiss Family Robinson novel? Gosh, I used to wish that I could be apart of their family, it looked like so much fun!

Why am running on about tree houses? Well...... I found a fantastic real life tree house that you can have parties at! Yes, indeed, it is a real tree house and it's amazing! AND it's in Seattle.

Ben Blood took photos of a wedding at Treehouse Point... seriously...check.them.out!

I will let you in on a little secret... I love BiG hair!

So it's only natural that I would call this soon to be fantastic blog
Bouffant Charm
Sadly, I am not from the great state of Texas where big hair thrives so I was not properly trained on my bouffant, but I must say, it looks pretty darn good.

Before we begin this journey together, I must share something about myself so you understand where I am coming from. I do hope that as time goes on you will share with me your thoughts, opinions and ideas. I love the idea of jumping into this virtual world together to share and explore life's beauty and all that it entails.

Some things about me...
I love finding beauty in people and nature,

I love gaudy jewelry and vintage fashion & design,

I love creativity & self expression,

I love color and mixin' & matchin',

I absolutely love sunny days.
I live in the wonderful city of Seattle, and unfortunately with living in Seattle I am neglected of one of my past times...playing in the sun.

and I love coffee....like I said, I live in Seattle.

As for what I'll share....it's going to be all across the board,
just like my interests.

So take this next step with me, read on and enjoy!
